Weekly Update 12/21/18

Our Market Day was an overwhelming success! Most teams were able to completely sell out of their goods. The children demonstrated excellent customer service, and many even had business cards. The third graders were eager to buy their goods. Dr. Phillips did some shopping as well! To finish the unit, each child completed a reflection and self-assessment.

The students had fun celebrating the end of our opinion writing unit by wearing their pajamas and reading by "campfire" and flashlight! After sharing their work, students participated in a compliment circle to give feedback to their peers.

We had tons of fun holiday activities this week! Dr. Mach read a winter story to the class.

The children made Christmas tree and Rudolph holiday cards.

Teams participated in a STEM challenge that involved building a parachute and basket that could land Santa safely to the ground after his sleigh broke. I am happy to report the 2nd graders did not let Santa down - he was able to have many successful landings!

Thank you to all the parents who planned an exciting winter party. The children enjoyed snacks, made ornaments, had ornament hanging races, and made snowmen!
